For the second day in a row, debris from the Galveston area has washed ashore on local beaches, giving beach goers a chance to find some hidden treasures, but there might also be some hidden dangers.
We found everything from huge telephone poles, front doors, even roof tops littering the coast. What you don't see could be the most dangerous. There was also a lot of wood on the beach, most of it hidden under the sand and seaweed. Many of those boards had nails sticking out, causing problems for bare feet and for car tires.
City crews spent the day picking up some of the larger boards, but ask people who are going to the beach this weekend to be cautious of what you step on.
