I-37 Shutdown Following Truck Rollover

The North and Southbound lanes of I-37 were shut down Tuesday morning following a commercial truck rollover accident.

The accident happened around 10:30AM Tuesday. Police say the driver of furniture truck somehow lost control and veered off I-37 Northbound and then swerved back and struck the barrier causing the truck to flip onto the southbound lanes.

"He was trapped inside for a little while, fire department were able to get him out through the windshield. There was damage to the TxDOT barrier, TxDOT is going to come out and inspect that," said CCPD Captain Mark Harrod.

The highway was shut down for two hours while traffic investigators conducted laser mapping of the accident. Meanwhile the driver of the truck was taken to Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital. There is no word yet on his condition.
