INGLESIDE (Kiii Sports) - Virtually no media outlets (including the Blitz unfortunately...) had the Ingleside Mustangs winning the district title before the season started, but that's exactly the position Head Coach Graig Hesseltine's bunch finds themselves in Friday night.
The Mustangs (6-2, 4-0 district) can wrap up the District 30-3A crown with a win on the road at Orange Grove (8-1, 3-1 district). Ingleside Junior Quarterback Tristen Barajas says the Mustangs are "thinking greedy" this week as they hope to win their first outright district crown since 2007.
Orange Grove could force a three way tie for the district with a win Friday and a Sinton victory over winless Robstown. Ingleside won a share of the district title that way in 2009, but says they prefer to keep the title to themselves first time around.
