IWA Students Decorate Prayer Crosses for Sandy Hook Elementary

Local students from Incarnate Word Academy are doing a little something to bring a bit of hope and joy to the residents in Newtown, Connecticut.

Students in Mrs. Ortega-Coco's classroom are decorating prayer crosses that will offer a personal message in memory of each victim. These prayer crosses will be sent to Sandy Hook Elementary; but it doesn't end there.

The high school students and faculty members started collecting monetary donations for the families of the victims. So far, they have collected over $600.

In all, the students have made 50 crosses to send to Connecticut.
