IWA Students Take Part in Mobile Blood Drive

Students at Incarnate Word Academy took some time away from class to give the gift of life by donating blood on Thursday.

"At IWA, we're really encouraging on community service and stuff, and everyone gets motivated to do it and we all come out," IWA Senior Brendon Bottom said.

Students and staff rolled up their sleeves and donated blood at a mobile blood drive at IWA, which brought out some first-time donors.

The surge of new first-time donors certainly made an impact on Thursday's blood drive, bringing in a combined total of 32 pints of blood.
