"Jihad Jane" Sentenced to 10 Years for Terror Plot

Colleen LaRose, better known as "Jihad Jane," was sentenced Monday in federal court to 10 years in prison and five years of supervised parole.

LaRose was found guilty of conspiring with jihadist fighters.

She was born in San Angelo, Texas, and also had three addresses right here in Corpus Christi, one as recent as 2007.

Authorities said they picked up her trail on the Internet -- a trail that allegedly took her overseas. According to the U.S. Attorney, LaRose left a terror cell in Ireland because she "grew frustrated because her co-conspirators were not ready for action."
