Jim Wells County Sheriff's Office Gets New Uniforms

Employees with the Jim Wells County Sheriff's Office are sporting a new look.

It has been three years since employees have had a new uniform, but thanks to drug forfeiture money, Sheriff Oscar Lopez was able to purchase new uniforms for his department.

One employee said the new uniforms not only fit better, but are also more professional.

"It's a big morale boost, because everyone likes them," said Sergeant Okie Suarez. "Everyone knows these are more presentable, or more professional than what we had before. Going from old school to new school. Looks good. Feels good."

Employees say the best part of their new uniforms is the extra pants pockets.
