The Food Bank of Corpus Christi received a helping hand Saturday thanks to a local church and other student groups. An assembly line of volunteers took over St Mark's Lutheran Church on Alameda near Airline.
They were making bags of dehydrated food. Each bag will help provide up to six meals for families and children who need help.
The program is called, Kids Against Hunger.
Half of the food will go to Loaves and Fishes, the other half will go to the Food Bank of Corpus Christi.
