CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - The King Mustangs were in coast mode Thursday as San Antonio East Central came in to Buc Stadium and laid down a 40-10 whipping in the Mustangs' regular season finale.
King had already clinched its playoff spot and was also already locked into a first round rematch with San Antonio Brandeis next week. The Mustangs lost to Brandeis last year in the playoff opener 34-7.
King couldn't take advantage of turnovers tonight, recovering three Hornets fumbles that lead to just three points. East Central fumbled eight times total on the night, but recovered five of them.
