King Snaps 9-Game Skid to Carroll with Extra Innings Win

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - It's not every day King and Carroll battle for the edge in the race for the final playoff spot, but that's exactly was it was Friday night at Cabaniss.

The Mustangs overcame an early 2-0 deficit to beat the rival Tigers 4-3 in nine innings. King improves to 3-4 in District 28-5A while Carroll has plummeted to 2-5 after dropping their fifth straight. King's Benny Zamudio in relief for the Mustangs.

If the playoffs started today King would be postseason bound, and Carroll would be on the outside looking in. The Tigers have just three games remaining to try and get back in the playoff hunt.
