Halo flight says one of its helicopters was targeted last night by a laser while flying over the Robstown area.
It was HALO 3, the aircraft that operates out of the Alice base that was targeted by the laser.
HALO says the aircraft was lased between 6 to 8 times.
We're told the aircraft had dropped off a patient at Christus Spohn Hospital in Corpus Christi and was returning back to Alice when the attack happened.
HALO says this is the third time this year this has happened to their aircraft and that such laser strikes are dangerous.Tom Klassen the executive director of HALO flight says,"what it does at a minimum, creates a distraction in the cockpit, at a maximum it can really damage a pilot's eyes.
Robstown police say they arrested two young men who were allegedly responsible for pointing the laser at the aircraft from a vehicle along Highway 44.
