Lighting Issues Halt Hooks Early

Corpus Christi (Kiii Sports)- The Corpus Christi Hooks appeared to be on their way to another win last night when the lights went out at Whataburger Field- literally.

After nearly an hour-and-a-half of darkness, some of the banks did pop back on, but umpires suspended the game due to potentially unsafe playing conditions. The game will resume Friday at 5pm with the Hooks leading 2-0 and about to bat in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Midland and the Hooks will then play their regularly-scheduled series finale after the end of last night's suspended game. The Hooks will exchange any tickets to the shortened game for tickets to any of the four remaining home games.
