Residents in the Lindale Park Community are encouraging healthy eating in our area.
Miracle-Gro, the Smart Grow Program, the Mayor's Council and the Lindale Community Association are all partnering to create the Edge Garden.
"The Lindale Neighborhood not only wants to use the garden to help neighbors and residents to grow their own food," said Stacie Talbert, assistant director of Parks and Recreation. "They're going to partner with master gardeners and other people in town to help others learn about gardening and the importance of green gardening."
Plots are available for the public and organizations to rent. They cost $25 a year with a $15 deposit. The first vegetable planting will be this Saturday.
