Day Five of "las Brisas" hearing was held Friday at the Del Mar Center for Economic Development. Inside Legal counselors represented the Pro and Con sides of the 'las Brisas" Pet Coke firing plant. Outside, members of the Nueces County Medical Society gathered to inform the public they opposed the construction of the plant. Citing the expected higher levels of comtaminanting partuculate matter that will be emmitted by the plant. This they claim will raise the levels of pollutants in the air over Corpus Christi, thus risking E.P.A. standard levels. Read more »
