Local Agencies Team Up to Provide Free Healthcare to Those in Need

Two local agencies have teamed up to provide people with healthcare at no cost.

"If they're lacking health care right now and need a permanent home, they can call Mission of Mercy," Clinic Director David Tapscott said. "They can schedule them on a regular basis to come out here."

Mission of Mercy and the Gabbard Clinic at Metro Ministries announced that they are teaming up to offer their services an additional day for working families who can't afford insurance.

The Gabbard Clinic will be open from 4:30-8 p.m. Wednesday. They already take patients Tuesday and Thursdays, so the added day will help them see more people.

If you would like to make an appointment or just want more information, you can call Mission of Mercy at 361-883-5500 or Metro Ministries at 361-887-0151.
