Local Red Cross Volunteer Heads to Dallas to Help Clean Up

Of course it was Tuesday of this week that a series of violent tornado's tore through the Dallas area.

No one was killed and there were just a few serious injuries, but damage was extensive.  And now, the hardest-hit neighborhoods will be getting some help from here in the Coastal Bend.

Red Cross volunteer, Anthony Hess is heading up there to help in any way he can, he says it's not the first time he's done this.

"It's just something that I can do my part on and see what I can do to help people.  There is always a need for people to help, so it's I'm just doing my part," says Hess.

He says his first experience helping people in need was in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
