Local Veteran Shares Memories of Surviving D-Day

On the Normandy coast of France seven decades ago, American soldiers died for their country in the battle commonly known as D-Day.

On Friday, President Barack Obama, among allies and leaders from all parts of the globe, were in Normandy to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for liberty.

Many of the survivors of D-Day will never forget the sacrifices their fellow soldiers made. Among those survivors is 93-year old Felix Longoria. He was a platoon sergeant on D-Day, and he shared some of his recollections with Kiii News Anchor Rudy Trevino.
