100 non-profit groups receive checks from Coastal Bend Community Foundation

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII-NEWS) - More than 100 non-profit agencies and foundations in our community, were given a helping hand from the Coastal Bend Community Foundation.

Checks totaling over $442,000 were given to the non-profit groups Tuesday morning at the First United Methodist Church along Shoreline drive.

Karen Selim, with Coastal Bend Community Foundation, says this money will provide food pantry money for more than 10 churches, helping people who don't have the money to eat.

Grants are being made to 100 nonprofit agencies for programs and services in the Foundation’s seven county areas – Aransas, Bee, Jim Wells, Kleberg, Nueces, Refugio and San Patricio counties.
