Amid the excitement at this year's Jr Livestock Show and mixed in with all of the exhibitors, is a remarkable young man who's entry is just extra-special.
"I picked it out mostly because it was an orphan and his mother abandoned him." says 9 year old Bradley Skinner, who's sensitivity is unlike most kids his age.
"When we brought it home we had to mix formula up and give, feed her in a bottle for a couple, one or two months" he says.
Bradley, like the hundreds of kids submitting entries at this year's Jr Livestock Show takes pride in his. This goat has been a part of his life, his responsibility, his drive to win.
He also has his eye set on the future should he get good money for it.
"I wanna save the money for college and maybe a little more stuff if I have enough," says Bradley
But what sets Bradley a part from the rest at this year's fair, is that he has Scleroderma.
It causes inflammation and pain in the joints, muscles and tissue, affecting his tendons, skin and bone. In essence Bradley and his family give thanks for pain free days.
But if it weren't for the wheelchair, which he uses to get around, pain is just too much, you'd hardly notice Bradley was anything but a healthy young man. He certainly has the energy and spirit. Submitting three entries in the show.
Bradley says, "well of course the goat then then homemaking and then I did the wood project I did a wooden porch swing. That took about three days to do."
Bradley won one, but three blue ribbons for his homemaking entries. He's hoping for the same success in his goat and porch swing entries.
Oh and as far as what other stuff he'd like if he wins big. "Yah maybe like a PSP, and a Playstation 3 and all that stuff."
Wishes and hopes, the biggest of which is always another pain-free day.
