New artificial intelligence could predict storms a day before formation

March has been quite a month. It's not only been about the wind,  but 3 tornadoes in the course of 12 days.

Thunderstorms, including those that spawn tornadoes, can accurately be predicted within an hour or two of formation.

But as our Chief Meteorologist Bill Vessey explains,  artificial intelligence could soon allow predictions to expand to days.
