(Corpus Christi, May 8, 2008) Documents show Tejano star Emilio Navaira had a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit to drive -- when he crashed his tour bus. It was .19, so far no charges have been filed. But prosecutors in the Houston area say that could change, for now, Emilio continues his medical rehab.

Of course it's a miracle that he survived, and that others didn't suffer any major injuries. The accident serves as a reminder that drinking and driving don't mix.

Local bars management say that's why they watch how much their customers drink nightly.

Emilio should be held to the same standard as each and every other individual. If you or I had been caught driving under the influence for a third time, we'd be nailed to the wall and hung out to dry. Though Emilio has a large fan base here in South Texas, I can see no other way that he could be a positive role model for them, than to accept his punishment like a man if he ever fully recovers.
