Some of the world best water sport competitors are strutting their stuff at McGee Beach this weekend for the 2008 US Wind and Water Open.

The 3 day event is also bringing in thousands of fans.

With Corpus Christi's bay front as the backdrop, spectators watched on as these competitors took to the waves, doing some pretty impressive tricks.

The US Wind and Water Open living up to its name, bringing in hundreds of athletes from the Coastal Bend and across the world.

Everyone was looking to win some major prizes as well as claim the US titles in both the kite boarding and wind surfing events.

The water sports not only catching on with these competitors but also local and international fans alike.
