The port of corpus christi is trying to take full advantage of a new free trade agreement between this country and the South American country of Colombia... The idea is to generate more trade opportunities, which would lead to increased commerce and ultimately more jobs and other economic benefits. Today the Corpus Christi Port Commissioners unanamously-approved A resolution supporting that free trade agreement... The port already has a strong trade relationship with Colombia.  In 2007,  the Port of Corpus Christi imported just under a million tons of cargo from that country.  Port executives say there's lots of room for expansion. By the way port officials say they're planning a trade mission to Colombia in the near future to explore ways of expanding trade between our two countries.
