When you take a look at the Stripes stores in our area, you'll notice that prices vary from one store to the next and from one city to another.
Craig Scotton is the Director of Petroleum Services for Stripes and told us the differences are because,"We're buying fuel at different prices from other refiners we'll having to sell fuel at different prices another factor is our transportation costs it cost different amounts of money to get the product from the refinery to the different stores and yet another factor is the credit card fees credit cards fees play a huge role in the price of a gallon of gas convenience stores nationally paid 7.6 billion dollars in credit card fees last year that's more than twice the profits this entire industry made for 2007 just in credit card fees."

Well, if credit card fees are so high. Why not try to have a 10 cent price drop to consumers who pay cash?
