Business owners on on the 5700 block of Ayers are having big problems with crime in that area.
Leticia Rodriguez, owner of Rodriguez Auto Service and Collision, arrived at work early this morning to find her shop burglarized. Thousands of dollars in equipment gone and plenty of property damage as well.
Rodriguez says she and others in the neighborhood have had repeated break-ins.
One other business owner we spoke to has a message for crooks who have their eyes on the area..
Michael mata says "the business owners, we do stick together, we watch out for each other. the only thing i can say is: you want to come into one of these buildings, come on, we're waiting for you."
Rodriguez says her customers' vehicles have not been targeted during these crimes and most of the damage has been to the exterior of the property..

I'm really sorry for what happened to Leticia Rodriguez and her business. You work hard to have your own business to have some .... try and steal and plunder your work away from you. I hope she decides to put security cameras to try and catch the culprits if they decide to burglarize her business again.
