He's accused of throwing a powerful punch.
The force of it so strong, it caused the death of another man.
Manuel Garcia, the man accussed of killing representative Able Herrero's dad Ivan Herrero, took the stand today.
Garcia says he punched Mr. Herrero as means of self defense adding that the 59 year old victim threw the first punch while waiting in line at the Denny's resturant on Navigation last October.
Garcia says "when he threw the punch at me I sorta went like that and caught him right here on this left, of his right and he moved toward this way now and then he lunged at me again and then I punched him to the floor."
That punch caused Herrero to fall and crushed his skull.
Garcia is on trail now on trial for murder.
The trial resumes Monday.
