The man who police say shot and killed his wife in a murder suicide attempt has died.

55 year old Roberto Saucedo had been hospitalized since Monday with a self inflicted gun shot wound to his head.

Monday, Saucedo walked in to his wife's alteration shop on Everheat, and shot his estranged wife Norma Lopez at point blank range. He later turned the gun on himself.

Lopez had filed for divorce on May 5Th. On that same day she also filed for a temporary restraining order against Saucedo. Now, some of Norma's friends are wanting to re-open her alteration shop later this month. But, they're asking all customers to pick up any clothing items because the future of Norma's business is so uncertain.

A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday at 10 a-m at Corpus Christi Christian Fellowship Church. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a  fund at Kleberg Bank in memory of Norma Lopez.
