Tx. Department of Insurance Encourages Residents to Review Insurance Policies

KIIITV News

With the threat of tropical storm or a hurricane, this is a good time to review your insurance policies - primarily your property insurance.

The Texas Department of Insurance offers these tips:

*Review your coverage and policy limits

*Make a home inventory by taking photographs or videotaping each room, as well as the exterior of your home. Keep that inventory in a secure spot.

*Make a safety plan whether you plan to stay and ride out the storm or evacuate and be sure to stock up on the necessary supplies.

For more tips , you can visit the Texas Department of Insurance website at www.tdi.state.tx.us
