Man Stabbed in Neck with a Syringe, Robbed

A Corpus Christi man is stabbed in the neck with a syringe during a robbery.

It happened a little before 6:30 Thursday evening in front of the Times Market on the 5000 block of Everhart. Police say a 30-year-old man was getting out his car when another man came up to him, and stabbed him in the neck with a syringe. The suspect made off with the man's wallet, which had about $80 dollars in it.

Police say the found the needle part of the syringe broke off in the victim's neck. He was taken to an area hospital, to have the needle removed and to make sure there wasn't a harmful substance inside the syringe.

The victim was able to give police a good description of the suspect. Police are now looking for a Hispanic male in his early 30's. He's described as having a slim build, and was last seen wearing a red hoodie and dark jeans.
