At the Texas State Aquarium's Sea Lab, it was moving day for this 6 foot , almost 200 pound dolphin named Toby. The dolphin was rescued just before Thanksgiving.  He was injured, stranded, and on the brink of death. It was the group known as the Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network which spent the last month nursing him back to health. So far he's gained almost 20 pounds and has had no problems getting around his water tank.  But his adventure to a new home at Moody Gardens in Galveston won't be easy. The trip which usually lasts about four hours will take a little longer and the free lift doesn't come without risks. So in a truck he goes for a road trip to receive further rehab, but his vets hope it's not his final destination. They want to eventually see Toby released. A bitter sweet goodbye between this dolphin and the team that saved his life.  At last word, Toby has reached his destination, and is doing just fine.

  • Small cuts in services and small tax rate hikes.
  • Drastic cuts in city services, no tax increases.
  • Reduce city employee salaries and benefits
  • Reduce all city services including pay cuts, and raise taxes
