WOODSBORO--A Coastal B\end family is among five finalists to host a Good Morning America block party. It's all part of a contest on that ABC morning show.

The Sanchez family of Woodsboro are a finalist to host a party on Good Morning America. They appeared on GMA Friday and are competing against four other families.

With the camera and lights on, they felt the heat of the moment.

"We were very nervous," said Richard Sanchez of Woodsboro. "Never in a million years did we think we were going to be on Good Morning America in Woodsboro, Texas."

"They kept telling us Robin and Chris and somebody was going to be on," said Rachael Sanchez, who is Richard's wife. "When you actually hear them, it's actually coming to you from them, it's unbelievable."

Richard Sanchez wrote an e-mail to GMA, explaining how small town america lives and emphasized its diversity. That e-mail helped the family get to the finals.

"I wanted to show the rest of the country that we are a unique community that we help each other," said Richard Sanchez.

After their appearance on GMA , Richard Sanchez drove around the camera crew, showing them Woodsboro. That segment will air Monday on the show.

"I'm excited because gosh it would be something to have Woodsboro here from Texas put on the map and they'll know what Woodsboro is like," said Rachael Sanchez.

GMA will decide who will host the block party next week with the party set for next Friday.

"Hopefully, they'll come in person next week to see us," Richard Sanchez said. "That will even put the icing on the cake."

The Sanchez family hopes this tour will be a dry run for the real thing next week.
