An early morning wake-up call Tuesday, for some of nature's most vulnerable creatures.

167 Kemps Ridley hatchlings were released into the surf at the Padre Island National Seashore.

Dr. Donna Shaver of the Padre Island National Seashore says its possible only one in a hundred hatchlings will live to see adulthood.
