Cash and lottery tickets, some items a would-be robber thought he was going to get away with. But police were able to catch up with the 21-year old not far from the crime scene.

It was a little after midnight when police say Samuel Martinez walked into the convenience store at Leopard and Baldwin with a shotgun. A clerk was able to remember the suspect's license plate, and police found Martinez at an apartment complex in the 700  block of Omaha, just a couple of blocks away.

Martinez is charged with aggravated robbery.

Its funny when one trys to rob a store for lottery tickets, you idiot, they keep track of the ones stolen. Just incase your mental here is an example: you didnt get caught after the robbery and won some un-godly amount on a lotto ticket, see what would happened if you cashed it in, stupidity at its finest. Every city in America has a few, not just CC, so I dont blame the town, just the idiots that dont have common sense to be responsible citizens.
