I used to live in the Corpus area. That is where I met my wife. Ive been to the track several times. needless to say, It was a run down track in need of new ownership and a major overhaul. i was impressed with the people who worked there, always friendly and courteous! Being a racing fan and dog lover, i want to put my two cents in. Greyhounds are bread to run, whether it be an open field or on a track. As others have said, adoption for a good family is key, too much bad press with pitt bulls!

Well, everyone has a different oppinion, but I think it's a good thing for Corpus Revenue, Especially if we can get gambling approved. Look how fast Louisana recovered after Katrina because of it. As far as the way dogs are treated, Well they do offer adoption for those that are hurt and need the loving care after there racing era is over. Most people should consider doing that instead of breeding dangerous dog like the Pit Bull. Good Luck Gulf Coast Racing !

As far as the race track we already have football & soccer field. I thing they should turn it into a gambling place and bring back the machines, Instead of people leaving town to go play them, and makeing them rich.

I Agree W/ Maria. suggestion 1: riding Lawnmower races. With a water trap, sand trap, and obstacles. Suggestion 2: electric cart and air motor cart races.

It's a horriable idea, and im totaly opposed. It's terriable for the dogs! I know first hand how bad they treat those animals durning and after they've been hurt and no longer CAN MAKE MONEY FOR THERE OWNERS! The place should be used for some other kind of sport perhaps football or soccer field.
