A cab driver continues to fight for his life after being stabbed late Sunday night , allegedly by a couple he had given a ride to.

The incident happened around 11 p.m. Sunday. Police say a Green and Go cab picked up a man and a woman at the Stripes on Agnes and Brownlee, and drove them to an apartment complex on the 6700 block of Everhart. That's where the cabbie was stabbed several times in the neck and back.

Police are not sure yet if the stabbing was a result of a disputed fare. Police are hoping evidence at the convenience store where the fare originated can help in the investigation.

The alleged suspects are a male and a female, no age or race is known at this time. As for the cab driver, he was last listed to be in serious condition at Christus Spohn Memorial.

As a loyal customer of Green and Go, I hope you get better. As for the suspects, I hope they get the book thrown at them and sent off the slammer for a long time.

Ryan, I am so glad you are out of hospital and doing ok. I want to see these "animals" caught and punished to the fullest. I do want to see you back at work when you are ready.
