Carbo-loading in a major way at the American Bank Center Tuesday as some elephants were treated to some whole-wheat nutrition.

Care takers tell us, elephants really don't like peanuts. They prefer whole grain, hay, bananas, apples, and carrots. This bread was donate by a local bakery.

Paula Bothe of the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus says, "It's whole grained bread. It's was baked in Corpus Christi this week. We've got 800 loaves from the Carousel Bakery, out by 6 Points and they've been doing this for the circus for eight years."

Action "under the big top" starts Wednesday and ends with a matinee show on Sunday.
