It calls itself an "oasis in a junk food desert". With scrumptious sandwiches and giant cookies, it's the reason many drive out to Bayside, Texas. Our Sabrina Hall checked out Crofutt's on Highway FM 136.

If you would like to eat at Crofutt's Sandwich Shop & Bakery, it is located at 1610 Highway FM 136. It's open everyday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Call them at 361-529-6663.

I have been eating there for about 30 years. The hamburgers are wonderful. We drive all the way from the Orange Grove area just to eat those hamburgers. The buns are big and homemade. Best I have ever tasted.
