Currently in Corpus Christi, there are about 30 ongoing road projects that are big-enough to cause traffic disruptions.  In some cases, the inconvenience for motorists has been going on for months.  However, most of those projects are being completed faster than first thought ... due to the area's continuing drought.  Said one contractor,  "No rain days mean no rain delays."  Christopher Clark, who owns SLC Construction is currently overseeing a massive $8.5 million-dollar road improvement project on Everhart, between Saratoga and Cedar Pass says that project should be finished within the next 45 days.  That would be approximately four-months ahead of schedule!  Assistant City Engineer Kevin Stowers says, "It's true, the drought, from a construction standpoint, is not a bad thing."  He says aside from the Everhart project, that roadwork on Doddridge near Alameda and Cimarron near Saratoga are also due to be finished soon.
