It was a hands on lesson in conservation for students at Kostoryz elementary. The Coastal Bend Bays and Estuaries program stopped by the school to teach students about about the earth's different eco-systems, and how they must be protected.

Students then built a terrarium made up of plants which they will have to monitor and take care of. It's information they will have to know for their TAKS test later on in the year.

The school also received 25 books on conservation to help further their education.
