A brother working as a volunteer fire fighter tries to save his family's home, but sadly, the Agua Dulce family has lost everything.

When Jesus Mireles Jr. and a crew arrived at the scene around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, they found the trailer engulfed in flames. Two vehicles parked near the trailer were also burned.

Mireles says his family was not home, but they are now left with nothing.

Mireles says, "My sister-in-law, my brother, my nephews have what they have on their backs right now. They went from living a good life, to nothing within minutes."

His brother has been in the hospital awaiting a surgery, and his wife is expecting. The Coastal Bend chapter of the American Red Cross has been in contact with the family.

If you would like to make a donation to the family, you can contact the Red Cross at 361-887-9991.
