One man is rushed to the hospital after flipping his car on a small country road. The accident happening just after 2 Monday morning on Farm Road 70 and County Round 45, that's near Chapman Ranch.

DPS tell us the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed when he hit a gravel road, losing control of his vehicle, flying through the air and colliding with a power poll. The driver was stuck in the car for over an hour as the jaws of life had to be used to free him.

He was taken to Christus Spohn Memorial with a broken leg in two places.

It turns out this may not have been his first accident of the night. Police believe he may be involved with a couple of hit and run accidents overnight. Authorities believe he was heavily intoxicated at the time of the collision.

He could now be facing a DWI charge.
