   Gripping testimony at the Nueces county courthouse today from the father of a man who was left a paraplegic, after a horrible wreck that didn't have to happen.

  The accident was a result of road rage.

  Tonight, the man responsible begins serving a 16 year prison sentence.

  Rudy Trevino was in the courtroom for that. Watch his report for more information.

What happen to the old days where people use to use fists to settle things...but all in all, if someone upsets you off on the road, blow it off. Why bring yourself down to a childish level. This guy deserves what he gets!!! He should have got longer for what he did. Now that poor guy that was once a power lifter cant even lift his own legs. That guy has been sentenced for life without walking or being able to do much on his own. The guy that got 16 years deserves what he gets!

Its sad to see these young men have really tough times ahead. Remember to pray for them. This accident could have been avoided but "road rage" is real. It scares me to see this is even a possible. I must say it takes two to tango. I believe both young men exchanged words or hand gestures. This was the results. So i ask all drivers to be courtious it really takes very little effort.We all want to get to our destination safely. Think about it. Are you ready to exit your life or take anothers??

Young and stupid with a chip on ones shoulder is no way to go through life. They will teach him his lesson in prison lets see him take out his RAGE in prison. Lucky if he walks out alive they will kick him around like the animal that he is. Doubtful he will learn anything !!! God help the injured kid.

i believe race played a factor here considering that's a longer sentence then one for drunk driving, the guilty is of hispanic decent.. the victim still lived, of course it was tragic, but if his bills cost so much sue him for medical bills, at best he should have received 6 years

Oh severely injuring someone because of road rage will get you longer in prison than killing someone while drinking and driving. One lived and one died which suspect should be in prison for 16 years. Well i must say not the one who gave his victim the ability to at least live. The one who killed an innocent 14 year old boy because he was drunk. Our justice system sucks.
