$7K ring stolen from local jeweler

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Corpus Christi Police are looking for a man they say stole a $7,000 ring from a local jeweler. The 42-year old victim called police on Friday, June 24th just after 5:00PM to report the ring stolen from his shop at the Corpus Christi Trade Center.
According to the jeweler, a customer requested a closer took at the ring then grabbed it out of the man's hand. The thief took off out of the store and got away with the merchandise.

Police were able to find the suspect on security video just recently. He is described as an adult man who wore a dark ball cap, stripped shirt, tan shorts and sandals at the time of the theft.
