31 year old, James Matthew Belk called 911 over the weekend claiming he was a border patrol agent and was in hot pursuit of a reckless driver.  That driver, Joe Morrin was arrested, but it turns out authorities were tricked by Belk.  Morrin was driving into town from Kingsville Saturday evening when he was suddenly blocked in by sheriff's deputies who were called to aid Belk who was claiming to be with border patrol.  Belk called 911 saying Morrin was driving at speeds more than 100 miles per hour. The fake agent was driving an unmarked car.  After investigating, sheriff's officials realized their was no chase, and that Belk wasn't even an agent. He was arrested in Kingsville Monday evening.  Sheriff Jim Kaelin has issued an apology to Joe Morrin, the man who was wrongfully arrested.  He's been cleared of any wrong doing.

How ironic...His wife's ex-husband is a police officer. I guess Mr. Belk wishes he could be like Mrs. Belks ex-husband.

Belk is such an idiot.. ive met him before and has worked with him.. he has a history of telling people he's a cop.. Belk if you want to be a cop so bad, then get the balls to go to a real academy like a "a real cop" does and get your license and take those lights off your car. All your doing is proving to people that your a holster sinffer.. told you that impersonating you always do will catch up to you. lol... you deserve what you get. POSER

So, it's racist to say Belk was "an Hispanic male?" Political correctness is a joke. How about focusing your energies into finding why so many criminals featured in our media "happen" to be Hispanic. Sounds like a cultural problem to me..

Mr. Belk should be taught a huge lesson. This should not be a "slap on the hand" incident. What he did was extremely criminal and should be treated as such.

There is nothing illegal about being a "jefe" but when you is one of those people that thinks they know it all and don't support it with any type of evidence is criminal in some way. How come if you are a federal officer or even a worker for the government nobody checked the prangster id? If Morrin had resisted arrest he could have ended like the murdered homeless and shot dogs of corpus christi, and did you see channel 6, the were already posting their very racist "A hispanic male"

Yea i can totally beleave it coming from the Nueces Co.When you have a Sheriff that beleaves a good Deputy is one who looks good in his look alike DPS uniform,but nevermind he cant pass a test!
