A motorcyclist dies late Friday night after crashing into the back of a truck. The accident also sends his passenger to the hospital - Police say it was all due to rubber-necking.

A little after 9 p.m. Friday, police were working an accident on Highway 181 Northbound. They had closed down the highway to 1 lane and, as you can expect - traffic was backing up. That's when police say a motorcyclist, who wasn't paying attention, crashed into the back of a blue pickup truck.

Police say no one on the cycle was wearing a helmet.

The Medical Examiner pronounced the driver of the motorcycle dead at the scene. His passenger was rushed to the hospital - she's said to be in critical conditon.
