  A state of the art G.P.S. tracking system. is now part of a new program that kicked off today in the West Oso School district.

   It's called "A.I.M." and it's *aimed* not only at stopping truancy but also at keeping more kids from dropping out of school.

   "A.I.M." is an acronym for "Attendance Improvement Management" and that is exactly what is at the core of this six week program.

   And while the idea is school based, the process of being selected for this program starts in the courts. Watch Rudy Trevino's report for more information.

This is an actual student speaking! This is for all of you people who think you know it all but yet know nothing about us! Before you say something how about come and get to know us! There are plenty of other schools in the city that no one wants to look at ! Miller,Carrol, and Moody are all schools that have problems. Carrol for stds, Miller for the CM kids! Moody for the high drug and pregnancy rates! So before you say a word, think about getting your facts straight

I think that this will just make the problem worse. I can understand that they want to try to keep kids in school but there is a right & wrong way of doing things & I think by do this is not going to stop them but just give them a reason & way to take them off & probably sell them. I you start treating people like criminal most of the time they start to act like one and that mean more tax payer money. I think they need to go back to the drawing board on this one.

Anonymous, some of these kids need to be treated like criminals.They don't listen to thier parents hopefully they'll listen to a Judge.Speaking of budgets and all why don't you run for City Council to try and do a better job, and quit criticizing the city government.Kudo's to the Judge and the city council.
