A young woman was rushed to the hospital Monday evening after being hit by a car.

The victim suffered cuts and scratches, and possibly a broken leg. According to police she and two other people were crossing Weber near the HEB on Holly. The driver told police she didn't see the girl until it was too late.

Police say the victim could actually get a ticket for jay-walking.
