CAMPBELLTON, Texas (AP) - A tour bus headed for Mexico
overturned along a south Texas highway today -- resulting in at
least two deaths.

The Department of Public Safety says the crash near Campbellton
left an unknown number of others hurt. The bus carried about 40
people.

The accident happened on southbound Interstate 37, about 45
miles south of San Antonio.

DPS spokesman Tom Vinger says investigators suspect equipment
failure. Vinger says the driver says she heard a loud pop and then
lost control of the bus.

Two people were taken to Brooke Army Medical Center and at least
four others to University Hospital in San Antonio. Their conditions
weren't immediately known.

DPS says the bus was headed from San Antonio to Matamoros,
Mexico, with a planned stop in Falfurrias. It's operated by
Autobuses Americanos, which is owned by Dallas-based Greyhound.

This bus is not a TOUR BUS and it is not MEXICAN. The company that has the control of this bus is GREYHOUND. I would like the people that give the news correct this item because this can confuse people about the companies in Mexico. Investigate correctly about the ownership of the bus so the passengers, people and you get not confused.

Natural Gas

Should the city of Corpus Christi privatize its natural gas system or keep it under city ownership?

  • Yes. Sell it and let private business run it.
  • No. Keep it as a city department.
  • I don't know.
