$98,000 in Hurricane Harvey relief distributed to first responders

PORT ARANSAS (KIII NEWS) - In Port Aransas, $98,000 dollars has been distributed to first responders affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Officials with the Port Aransas Police Foundation say the organization has raised over $94,000 dollars in relief money.

The cash will be given to 46-first responders who suffered financial losses during the storm. Four Port Aransas Police Officers personally suffered the loss of their homes and all possessions. 

Organizers say donations came from all over the country to help.
