AT&T donates $5,000 to help Coastal Bend students fill out FAFSA

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - In an effort to help make sure Coastal Bend students are getting the financial aid they need to go to college, AT&T donated $5,000 to Citizens for Educational Excellence.

According to the U.S. Census, when it comes to the number of students completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, Corpus Christi is among the lowest in the state. Citizens for Educational Excellence works with local students and gives them the resources they need to fill out their FAFSA.

The $5,000 check from AT&T was presented to CEE Wednesday morning at the Coastal Compass Education & Career Resource Center in La Palmera Mall. Among those present for the presentation were State Rep. Todd Hunter, CEE Executive Director Janet Cunningham, and CEE Board President Ken Trevino.
